Regular Season’s Best Time Awards Rules
- A season’s best time includes the first time you officially receive a time for a race during the current season, and every time you officially swim faster thereafter.
- You may get more than one best time per event in a single swim meet if you get a best time in the prelims, and another best time in the finals. Once you get a best time in prelims – this is your new best time. To get a second best time that day, you must then beat your prelims time.
- Relay splits, including swimming first on the relay do not count towards the best times awards.
- If a swimmer is disqualified in the race, this does not count as a best time.
- The best times awards only includes regular season meets – it does not include Regionals or Provincials due to the timing of our awards banquet.
